Due to – I honestly don’t know which issues – my flight from DRW to ASP departed with a 50minutes delay! As I arranged with Uwe (owner of Uwe Pathdorf Bed&Breakfast) to pick me up at Alice Springs Airport, I quickly messaged him before take-off to let him know about my delay.
Flight from Darwin to Alice Springs
Except for the little delay, the flight was quite enjoyable. Though it only took about 2hours, a snack, drinks and even a hot meal (lunch) was served during the flight. Okay wasn’t the best food I’ve ever had but it was alright. And as I was really hungry, I was more than glad they served it.
Of course there weren’t any tv’s in this airplane for such a short flight. However the plane wasn’t booked up and I had enough space to take a little nap :).
Hotel for the next 2 nights
As outlined before, I decided to spend the next two nights at Uwe Pathdorf’s Bed & Breakfast in Alice Springs. He picked me up at ASP-Airport 5 minutes after I gave him a short call and drove me to his hotel.
Uwe is a super nice german guy that runs this B&B now for already a couple years. It is really amazing what he created here out of nothing! Absolutely beautiful. I think I’m gonna write an extra blog-post about Uwe Pathdorfs’ B&B in a few days, but now I’m just in a hurry.
Today, I walked about 10km to explore different sights of Alice Springs like the flying doctors, reptile centre & river walk.
Why do I need some sleep? – Uwe booked an Outback-Tour for the next few days for me.
I’ll leave tomorrow morning (in about 5hours) for a 3days camping-tour to Uluru (Ayers Rock), Olgas and Kings Canyon. Then I’ll spend another night at this B&B, go for a 1-day-trip to the west macdonnell ranges, spend another night here and then already fly to Brisbane on July 25th.
You’ll probably be hearing from me again in about 1week. I just quickly wanted to keep you updated with my newest plans.
In the meanwhile, have a great week and thanks for reading my blog! :).
